Local activists from Stockton, Manteca, Tracy, Modesto, Lodi and the surrounding areas, in association with the California Nurses Association, hosted a local car caravan urging state legislators and Governor Newsom to pass California Guaranteed Health Care for All (“CalCare”), equivalent to federal bills calling for Medicare for All.
This event was part of the nurses’ kickoff day of action with car caravans in 22 cities across California. Participants practiced physical distancing, wore masks, and observed other Covid safety guidelines.
